Retinal Photography
Using a state-of-the-art Retinal Camera, we are currently the only independent practice in Pontypridd who can take a digital photograph of the back of your eye. This allows us to instantly diagnose a number of common conditions. The scan is painless, simple and quick and is available at a small additional charge.
Retinal screening checks for a number of conditions including :
- Glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Cataracts
- Age related macular degeneration
DVLA Visual Field Testing
If you have reason to believe that your peripheral vision has been affected by ocular disease such as, glaucoma, stroke or head injury for example, we have the equipment to carry out a DVLA approved drivers visual field examination. If you have already notified the DVLA of your condition, they will direct you to us automatically and under these conditions there will be no charge to you for this examination.
On-Site Laboratory
We now have an on-site laboratory to provide a fast and efficient service to manufacture your new spectacles and carry out house repairs.
